Molesey

So it's a few days on.. I never actually updated for the last few days! Oops! I guess I'm kinda recovered.. after sleeping in till 11 this morning! haha, good stuff. :)
Well the last two fun days were in Molesey and Surbiton, both of which went pretty well. :) Molesey, the weather was alright for most of the day, and it was the first day that I was on the prayer team and actually prayed for people! Just seeing people not only healed, but just touched by the fact that there are people who care enough about them to pray for them.. it was good. I prayed for one woman with Nathan and Phil, about some physical and emotional issues, but then after she left the healing tent, the band began playing a song and she knelt down in the middle of the field.. we didn't know what to do! So I went to see if she was okay, and she opened up about some stuff that was going on and I prayed for her in the middle of the field.. and just the fact that somebody cared.. I could tell that meant a lot to her. It's nice just to show someone that, and to let them know how much God loves them, and always has done. Also, Greg, I think it was, one of the Nexus guys, had this dream about kinda battling with the devil, and woke up with his chain broken from around his neck. This was significant, it was about breaking someone's chains, somethng that has a hold on someone..
While I was in the prayer tent, a couple walked in, wanting prayer for a family friend who was suffering with cancer, so we prayed, then asked him if he had anything he wanted prayer for.
He said his drinking problem, and he wore a chain around his neck and his wrist. This drinking problem, had a hold over him. So we prayed for him. He seemed pretty touched by it too.
So, all was well, but when Church Outdoors approached.. the rain came down! It turned out to be Church.. in a tent! But we had quite a lot of people staying for it, which was really great. :)
But, like, the generator cut out, and the electricity went, and we had no PA system.. pretty much everything that could go wrong, DID go wrong, but somehow, we all still had a really good day! It was pretty awesome! :)

it's been a while!

Oooh, I haven't written in ages! It's now Friday, and we've just done our third family fun day in Herne Bay! Days 6, 7 and 8 have been a total blur! Everything's just been so hectic, but it's been awesome! On Wednesday, we did our family fun day in Wickford, which went pretty well. However, we woke up and looked outside, and it was raining and the sky looked dark.. But as soon as we got to the family fun day site and began to set up, there was literally a circle of blue sky just above the site, it was amazing! The weather stayed gorgeous all day, right up until we had just about finished packing everything up, at which point the rain came down hard. It was amazing though, just how the weather had kept off right up until then! It just showed us how amazing God really is! The fun day went really well, it was our first one, and everything went to plan. It was really busy, loads of people turned up, it was a bit hectic to be honest! During the fun day, and after the service, people came to the healing tent, and there was one girl who had a problem with her back and couldn't touch her toes, but after being prayed for, she could! She hadn't believed that she could be healed, but when she was, she just burst into tears. There was another person who really stood out, someone else with back issues. She couldn't walk normally, because of her back, and after being prayed for, she was asked if there was any difference. She got up but it was worse.. so they kept on praying for this woman. In the end, after more prayer, she was able to stand up, and walk better than she ever had before, and usually it would be worse after sitting down for so long, but she was fine! It was amazing, and there were a load more people who got prayed for too. :)

That night, we headed to Croydon and stayed in a church there. By the time we all got there, after waiting for our luggage, we all just fell asleep pretty much right away. Breakfast and showers, then we headed to the fun day site for about 9 in the morning, for small groups and set up. During the set up time though, the weather came down on us again. We'd just finished putting a marquee up, so thankfully we had somewhere to shelter, and the rain came down on us hard. A few times, it went from really warm and sunny to torrential rain again, but when 2 o'clock came, the sun was shining and the weather definitely looked promising! The sun shone throughout the fun day, and we've only got God to thank for that! A member of our team, Sharon, her sister came to the fun day and the Church outdoors, and became a Christian that day! That was great news. :) There was loads more prayer and healing going on, but to be honest, I'm so tired I can't really think of anything specific.. I'll let you know if I can, haha. :)

After eating, we left Croydon at around 9, and arrived in Herne Bay at around 11, pleasantly surprised to find a carpark fulll of people, we all had host families! The lovely people of Herne Bay gave us beds, it was dead nice to be back in a bed, as opposed to a church floor, and I had a great night's sleep, and it really refreshed me for the day after. Setup went well, we seem to be getting faster every day, which is great. The weather looked beautiful, we had to keep chucking on the suncream, it was so hot. I've drank so much water today, it's actually ridiculous! During the fun day, everything was pretty busy, and the queues grew fast as soon as we hit 2 o'clock! And I had a really bad headache that didn't go away, no matter how much water I drank, and I took painkillers too, but in the last 40 seconds before the end of a track when I was working with the radio, Richie prayed for me. So if there was a bit of dead space after a song, sorry, we were praying! But within ten minutes, my headache was gone, it was great! I'm gonna get a guest blogger on here, he can let you know how he thinks it's going, tell you about some stuff that's happened, as well as just kinda generally ramble, whatever he wants to say I guess. :) This is Nathan for yooouu. :)

"Ok, so today (Friday), Herne Bay saw Re:Act run our family fun day. I think I'll share some testimony of what happened to me. My friend David (who was on team last year) came. At the end of church out doors he asked me to pray for healing for two things. Firstly, his knee had been painful for a long time as he had fallen off a skateboard in a skate bowl... so ouch! Secondly, he had previously broken his thumb in a motorcycle accident and because of residual injury he couldn't cook (which is his job). I prayed with a member of the local church for him and he was healed on both counts instantly. Later we prayed for his step-sister against the spirit of depression. This for me was very important as confronting the enemy and spiritual warfare had been some of my hopes at the beginning of the outreach. I'm sure I will see more. But God is good and he is using his army to do great things. God Bless. Nathan."

That's about it from me, we're on the minibus between locations now, and I think I might go to sleep for a bit, haha. Blog later, ciao! x
